Job Description

Key Resource Group is partnering with an established Prime Government Contract Holder on their search for a Training Manager for their Suburban South Buffalo job site. This is a Direct Hire opportunity responsible for providing effective leadership and direction for training activities.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
    Direct all company-wide training activities
  • Implement and maintain Integrated Safety Management Systems (ISMS) and its guiding principles
  • Lead training department in external audits and inspections (OSHA, PRE-OP, CSI, EPA)
  • Provide oversight of course and video libraries, department change management system, budget and personal certification program
  • Monitor and assess effectiveness of training program, continuously updating as needed
  • Partner with both individuals and groups both internal and external
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment that follows established practices while identifying and reporting situations and concerns
  • Lead, mentor and support training staff
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant progress and certifications

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor`s degree in Education, Environmental Safety and Healthy, Science or related field
  • Hazmat background and training experience
  • Experience developing and leading a training curriculum Knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Knowledge of Dept of Energy & Dept of Transportation policies and requirements
  • Understanding and learning ability in a highly technical environment
  • Previous management experience
  • DOE 0 426.2A experience is a plus
  • 4+ years of experience in a Dept of Energy and/or nuclear facility is a plus
