Job Description

A telecommunications services company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contracts Paralegal to join their legal team.

This role is responsible for managing the lifecycle and administration of all types of contracts and other legal documents.

Collaborating with legal, business, insurance, human resources, information technology, and other key stakeholders across the organization, the Contracts Paralegal streamlines contract management, improves workflows, implements best practices and ensures that contracts align with organizational objectives.

Essential duties:
  • Ironclad CLM Administration: Serve as the go-to expert and administrator for Ironclad CLM system, including user management, workflow configuration, template and clause library creation and maintenance, reporting, and system updates. Serve as a liaison with customer success and support teams at Ironclad.
  • Contract Process Management: Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, from request intake and drafting to negotiation, execution, and post-execution management.
  • Clause Library Development & Maintenance: Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of contract clauses and pre-approved alternative clauses for commonly negotiated terms. Lead efforts to standardize templates, language and terms that align with legal, compliance and business needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Risk Management: Partner with insurance, IT, cybersecurity, supply chain, finance, and other key stakeholders to facilitate review of contracts and establish contract priorities and timelines to align with business objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate contract processes, leveraging Ironclad`s features and integrations.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on the use of Ironclad and contract management best practices.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key contract metrics, identify trends, and provide insights to the legal team and business stakeholders, and to provide insights into legal operations performance.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in legal operations or contract management
  • Paralegal certificate or legal operations certification preferred
  • Experience with Ironclad CLM preferred, but not required
  • Solid understanding of contract lifecycle management and legal operations principles
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align contract terms with business goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional organizational skills, time-management skills and attention to detail
