Key Resource Group is thrilled to be partnering on this search with a modern firm located in Buffalo that manages a diverse client based focused on Tax and Audit. This is a Direct Hire position with a starting salary of $95,000 - $125,000 based on experience, an excellent benefits package, and a work-life balance friendly philosophy that allows for hybrid or fully remote work. In this role, you will manage, nurture, and train a high-performing staff of Tax Professionals. The ideal candidate will be local to the WNY area, have a current or expired CPA, and have at least 5 years of experience in Public Accounting. This is an amazing opportunity with a business that is highly motivated to quickly make the right hire for their organization.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manage and assign responsibilities to Tax Personnel team
Schedule staff, manage compliance with due dates, and effectively monitor time budgets
Lead and motivate a highly effective team with a focus on professional development, retention, and advancement
Coordinate with Firm Partners in practice development and management
Maintain ownership and responsibility for large scale tax engagements
Manage communication of firm policies and technical info to tax team via individual and group meetings
Review and prepare multiple types of returns
Effectively research complex tax issues as needed

Job Requirements
CPA highly preferred (expired will be considered)
Bachelor`s Degree in Accounting or similar field of study greatly preferred
Minimum 5 + years in Public Accounting required
Demonstrated people management skills ands experience is a must
Ability and willingness to work 50+ hour work weeks during tax season
