Job Description

A nonprofit healthcare organization in Buffalo, NY is searching for a Staff Accountant to join their downtown office, to perform timely transaction processing, account analysis, reconciliations, and other tasks necessary to ensuring the accounting department runs smoothly.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepares monthly journal entries and end close reports
  • Monthly bank and account reconciliations
  • Assists with monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports
  • Assists with the annual budget development process and financial audits
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly grant vouchers
  • Maintains fixed asset management system

Successful candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills, accuracy and attention to details, and an aptitude for analysis.

Job Requirements

  • 1+ years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor`s Degree in Accounting or Finance a plus
  • Proficient with MS Excel
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting systems
