A small law firm located in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY is looking to bring on a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to help with personal injury litigation cases. In this role, the Legal Assistant/Paralegal will:
  • Draft legal correspondence and documents including pleadings, discovery demands/responses, motions, subpoenas, etc.
  • E-file legal documents using NYSCEF
  • Assist with all aspects of the discovery phase such as FOIL requests, IMEs, depositions and contact with clients, witnesses, experts, etc.
  • Order, review and follow up with medical records
  • Schedule court appearances, client meetings depositions, etc.
  • Maintain attorney calendars while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Organize files


Qualified candidates should have strong research and writing skills, be able to present themselves in a professional manner to clients and perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of legal assistant/paralegal experience
  • Plaintiff personal Injury background preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Able to assume responsibility to meet changing deadlines
