Looking for a full-time legal position? A mid-sized Buffalo law firm has a need for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to assist their Personal Injury department. This role provides a full range of support services to 2 attorneys such as:
  • Maintaining calendars and scheduling court appearances, meetings, IMEs, etc. with strict attention to deadlines
  • Dictation transcription
  • Drafting and e-filing legal correspondence and documents
  • Maintaining contact with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
  • Ordering, following up on, and organizing medical records
  • Assisting with trail prep

    • This position requires a mature, polished individual who can present themselves as a professional to clients, and who is capable of handling multiple assignments simultaneously.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of legal assistant/paralegal experience
  • Paralegal certificate preferred
  • Experience in personal injury law preferred
  • Strong proofreading and grammar skills
  • Accurate typing skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to work with highly confidential and sensitive information

When she isn’t busy searching for the perfect Candidates, Leigha is at the softball or baseball diamonds with her three beautiful kids! She also loves cooking and hosting parties for her family and friends. And the best part about Leigha? She is funny!
