Job Description

Hybrid schedule: Work 1 day from home after introductory period!

Our client is seeking a Legal Assistant interested in growing into a Case Manager role within 6-12 months. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in personal injury law while receiving hands-on training and mentorship from an experienced Case Manager.

Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting Case Managers and Litigation Paralegals with daily case work and documentation
  • Preparing case documents and forms using firm templates
  • Obtaining and organizing records such as police reports, medical records, and FOIL requests
  • Reviewing and summarizing medical records
  • Communicating with clients to gather information and provide updates
  • Assisting with scheduling, correspondence, and case follow-ups
  • Handling routine insurance communications with supervision
  • Learning key personal injury concepts including no-fault and lost wage claims
  • Gradually taking on more responsibility with the goal of managing cases independently

Job Requirements

  • Compassionate, team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
  • Organized, tech-savvy, and eager to learn
  • Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • At least 1 year of experience in a professional office setting
  • Prior personal injury legal assistant experience is a plus, but aptitude and coachability are equally valued
