Job Description

A local non-profit is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk on a temp-to-hire basis!

This full-time role is responsible for:
  • Preparing accounts payable checks and coding invoices to proper accounts
  • Verifying and matching invoices and other documentation necessary to process payments and distribute checks
  • Posting and summarizing cash receipts and disbursements
  • Assisting with monthly and year-end close
  • Verifying and auditing accounts for accuracy and completeness
  • Filing invoices and other related accounting documents

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of accounting experience required; 1-2 years accounts payable experience preferred
  • Knowledge of AP and accounting and software systems
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with vendors and clients in an efficient and professional manner
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
