A forward-thinking, well respected law firm seeks an experienced Director of Records and Information Management for their Buffalo office. This role is responsible for the oversight of the Mail Services, Records & Information Management and Library Resources departments.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans, policies and procedures for the above-mentioned departments
  • Provide leadership to all three departments by fostering collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement
  • Manage vendor contracts and relationships
  • Oversee the firm`s records process from creation and retention through retrieval and disposal
  • Oversee mail service operations including the receipt and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail
  • Develop strategies to enhance library services and resources
  • Manage library resources (both physical and digital collections)
  • Provide training and guidance to staff across department and ensure compliance with policies and procedures

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor` degree required; Master`s degree in Library and Information Science preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in records and information management
  • Law firm experience is preferred
  • Certified Records Manager, Information Governance Professional or equivalent certification a plus
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff
  • Strong organization, prioritization and problem-solving skills
