KRG is helping a large WNY law firm hire a Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant for their Syracuse office. This full-time, direct hire role performs a wide range of administrative and clerical tasks for a group of litigation attorneys.
Responsibilities:
Preparing legal documents, memos, correspondence and various forms
Scheduling court depositions, court reporters, expert witnesses, hearing and other special functions
Preparing GLC work requests
Making travel or conference arrangements
Coordinating accounting duties including pro forma edits, check requests, matter intake and update forms, and billing tasks
Job Requirements
2+ years of administrative experience in the legal field
Litigation or Regulatory experience required
College degree a plus, but not required
Solid understanding of legal terminology, forms, documents, and procedures including docketing knowledge and E-filing for commercial litigation practice
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Accurate typing skills: 55+ WPM
