A mid-sized downtown Buffalo law firm is hiring an experienced Legal Assistant for their growing firm. The Legal Assistant will work to enhance attorney effectiveness by providing information management and clerical support, while representing the attorney to clients and other professionals.

Duties Include:
  • Scheduling appointments and meetings
  • Drafting and editing letters, contracts, pleadings, and other legal documents
  • State and Federal court E-Filing
  • Client communication
  • Case file management


A willingness to work both independently and as part of a team in a deadline driven environment is important for this position. Applicants should also be clear and effective communicators with strong organizational skills, so even the smallest of details won`t slip through the cracks.

Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years of litigation experience
  • Associate degree in business administration or related field
  • Strong typing skills and high proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to work with legal technology (NYSCEF & Federal court ECF, transcription software, dictation, etc.)
  • Able to multitask in a busy environment
  • Energetic and personable
