A large, well-respected Buffalo law firm is looking to hire an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to a team of attorneys in the firm`s Labor and Employment practice group.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Prepare correspondence and coordinate filings with various agencies at the federal, state, and local level
Review court notes, track due dates, and maintain attorney calendars
Process intake of new case matter
Preparing and processing legal documents, typing drafts, dictation
Ideal candidates will be conscientious, dedicated, and abide by a high standard of personal and ethical standards. Strong organizational skills to stay on top of changing deadlines and priorities, a proactive work style, and history of collaborative teamwork are also important to succeed in this role. A working knowledge of litigation processes and procedures is also required.
Job Requirements
2+ years of Legal Administrative experience is required
Associates degree strongly desired
Experience in Labor & Employment is preferred, experience with Education law is a plus
Proficient with MS Office (Word & Excel)
Ability to type 50+ WPM
Experience with a document management system is a plus, but not required
