Business Development Manager - Capture Executive

Key Resource Group has an amazing opportunity for a top-tier experienced Business Development Manager - Capture Executive with a proven track record of success in the Life Sciences industry. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with a starting salary of $200,000 - $230,000, a competitive bonus structure, and a comprehensive benefits package. This dynamic position is offered as fully remote (with possible travel) and our great partner is exclusively looking at candidates in the Eastern United States residing in or near a large metropolitan area. In this role you will leverage the company`s outstanding life sciences and public health capabilities to drive growth within the Health and Human Services landscape.

Please note: the ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience with the following:
  • Large network of contacts in Life Sciences
  • Specific examples of success in identifying, qualifying, and capturing new business
  • Ability to concisely message examples how your capture strategy has consistently won business


Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Develop, manage, and close a qualified pipeline of opportunities to support the growth objectives and strategic goals in the life sciences industry
  • Identity and qualify potential business pursuits by examining market opportunities, target organizations, requirements and capabilities, and making strategic recommendations. Participate in yes/no decisions during the qualification process with a critical eye and the ability to strategically walk away from bad business
  • Prepare and deliver capabilities briefings to potential customer stakeholders
  • Manage and execute a winning strategy for all developed opportunities upon pursuing a decision
  • Partner with internal resources to recommend and implement strategies for developing proposals on assigned pursuits
  • Unwavering professional integrity and business ethics in all engagements while protecting company proprietary information and intellectual property confidentiality


Skills and Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science or similar field required; Master of Science is a big plus
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in federal business development, consulting, or operations with direct experience in relevant agencies
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government contracting including contract types and procurement processes
  • Broad knowledge of the biomedical development process, public health preparedness and response, and scientific project management in multiple research domains
  • Established relationships with the HHS and supporting/similar agencies
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing industry standard market research tools

Job Requirements

  • BSc degree preferred; MSc a plus in related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in federal business development, consulting or operations with direct experience in relevant agencies
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government contracting, including contract types and procurement processes
  • Broad knowledge of the biomedical development process, public health preparedness and response, and/or scientific project management in multiple research domains (e.G., infectious disease research)
  • Established relationships with the HHS and supporting agencies
  • Demonstrated experience winning life sciences and public health related opportunities within HHS
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing industry standard market research tools. Excellent research and analytical skills
